Jason Brown graduated with honors from Minnesota State University at Mankato. Following his undergraduate work, he received his Juris Doctorate from the William Mitchell College of Law. During law school, he served as an associate editor of the law review and member of the international moot court.

Experience

Whether a simple moving violation or a more serious charge involving felony DWI, attorney Jason Brown has played a critical role in hundreds of criminal matters. He understands the criminal justice system very well, given his tenure as a public defender and judicial law clerk. It is not uncommon for Jason to successfully fight for the dismissal or reduction of criminal charges.

Jason has substantial trial experience and has been appointed by the court to represent individuals facing civil commitment on dozens of occasions. Several of these matters received significant media attention. He has also handled trials involving personal injury and family law issues.

Activities

Mr. Brown has moderated and lectured at continuing legal education seminars, authored many published works and holds membership in the Minnesota Association for Justice (formerly the Minnesota Trial Lawyer’s Association). He has coached law students in trial skills and is a former adjunct instructor in the paralegal program at North Hennepin Community College.
